Jared Emerson-Johnson
Jared Emerson-Johnson is a composer/sound designer with credits
on several leading video game titles (Star Wars: Knights of the
Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, James Bond: Everything or Nothing,
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Jet Li: Rise To Honor,
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Mercenaries, The Bard's
Tale, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005, Psychonauts, Eye Toy: AntiGrav,
Shadowbane: Throne of Oblivion, Star Wars: Apprentice to the
Force, Super Hamster Plane), television commercials, student
films, and theatrical productions.
At the Game Developer's Conference in 2004 Jared received
the Game Audio Network Guild's first "Rookie of the Year"
award and shares five other G.A.N.G. awards with mentor Clint
Bajakian for his work on the composition, orchestration, and
part preparation for the live orchestral score to Indiana Jones
and the Emperor's Tomb (including "Music of the Year").
He has also music directed and conducted productions of A
Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Iolanthe, and The
Mountain--an oratorio (his own composition thesis), and has guest
conducted the Cornell Chamber Orchestra.
Jared has performed in a number of operas, musicals, and straight
plays including: The Breasts of Tiresias, The Barber of Seville,
Amahl and the Night Visitors, La Bohème, The Wedding (world
premiere), La Traviata, Daughter of the Regiment, The Pirates
of Penzance, Patience, Sweeney Todd, The Coconuts, Candide (as
the Grand Inquisitor), Cabaret (as Victor), The Lady's Not For
Burning (as Richard), Engame (as Clov), and Godot!: A Rock Opera,
his own composition (as Estragon).
Jared holds a B.A. summa cum laude in music from Cornell University
